Press Release
Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems, a leading provider of system solutions for public transit, is showcasing new additions to its FareGo portfolio at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin: the FareGo ST|32 and FareGo ST|72. Together, the two new solutions demonstrate how self-service infrastructure can provide passengers with much more than conventional ticket sales while helping public transit operators create efficient, accessible and future-oriented stations.
While the FareGo ST|32 reimagines the traditional ticket vending machine as a compact, cashless all-in-one service kiosk, the FareGo ST|72 represents the next generation of Scheidt & Bachmann’s proven FareGo ST|71, providing comprehensive ticketing and payment functionality for locations where maximum flexibility is required.
FareGo ST|32: the all-in-one service kiosk
The FareGo ST|32 goes far beyond traditional ticket sales. Designed as a modern, cashless all-in-one service kiosk, it combines ticketing, passenger assistance and information services within one compact device.
Its large 31.5-inch touchscreen can provide real-time arrivals and departures, service disruptions, route changes and station-specific information. It can also support wayfinding, display station layouts and hospitality options, highlight nearby cultural sites and events, and even provide practical information such as weather forecasts or local news. Transit operators can independently manage content and use the display for promotional campaigns, creating additional communication and potential revenue opportunities.
By bringing together functions that could otherwise require separate ticket vending machines, information screens and service points, the FareGo ST|32 helps simplify station infrastructure and reduce operational complexity. Its cashless design further reduces maintenance requirements and service interventions.
FareGo ST|72: the next generation of full-service ticketing
The new FareGo ST|72 is the successor to Scheidt & Bachmann’s proven FareGo ST|71 ticket vending machine. It combines comprehensive ticketing and payment capabilities with a contemporary design, intuitive user experience and enhanced passenger information and communication features.
Designed for locations where maximum functionality is required, the FareGo ST|72 supports common cash and cashless payment methods and a broad range of fare media, including cEMV, magnetic cards, paper tickets, barcodes and common smart card schemes.
Its 24-inch display can also present passenger information, network maps, service announcements and advertising content, optionally complemented by a 28-inch overhead information display. Accessibility features, remote customer assistance via audio or video, robust security and a modular, service-friendly design complete the full-service solution.
With the FareGo ST|32 and FareGo ST|72, Scheidt & Bachmann is demonstrating at InnoTrans 2026 how the traditional ticket vending machine is evolving into a versatile passenger touchpoint – combining ticketing, information, communication and assistance in solutions tailored to different station requirements.
FareGo PG|50: intelligent access and effective revenue protection
Alongside its new ticket vending machines, Scheidt & Bachmann is also showcasing the FareGo PG|50, the latest generation of fare gate technology. Its advanced sensor system intelligently distinguishes between passengers, luggage and potential fare-evasion attempts, helping public transit operators protect critical fare revenue without compromising passenger comfort or accessibility. Intuitive passenger guidance and fast validation support smooth passenger flows, while its modular architecture provides the flexibility to adapt to evolving ticketing technologies and requirements.
Visitors can experience both new FareGo solutions firsthand at the Scheidt & Bachmann booth at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin.
