Together with the strong purchasing team at the company headquarters in Mönchengladbach, we are centrally responsible for purchasing for the subsidiaries and branches around the world.

Scheidt & Bachmann procurement policy under environmental and energy aspects

Scheidt & Bachmann has committed to a long-term reduction of both the environmental pollution and the energy consumption of the company and to the improvement of its energy efficiency by means of a continuous enhancement process. In order to reach these goals, an environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and an energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001:2011 has been established for the Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH and for its German affiliates.

Scheidt & Bachmann will develop appropriate criteria for products, facilities and services that have a significant impact on the company’s energy balance.

With regard to procurement activities this means, that energy use, energy consumption and energy efficiency are relevant procurement criteria to Scheidt & Bachmann.

In particular we decide, in case of equivalent technical and commercial procurement options, in favor of those suppliers whose supply chain and / or products have a better energy and / or environmental balance or who are certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 50001:2011.

Cooperation

Intensive business relationships and close cooperation with partner suppliers are important components of success.

We are always interested in business relationships with globally operating companies. In addition, we seek cooperation with suppliers who support and promote our quality philosophy and purchasing strategy.

Prerequisites for this are:

  • Quality responsibility - A consistent quality assurance philosophy, combined with a continuous process to improve costs, logistics, error-free quality, deadlines and service. Therefore we expect a permanent, performance-oriented and reliable cooperation according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent certification.
