Apart from the delivery and installation of signalling installations and project engineering of the PT II (planning) started Scheidt & Bachmann, in the early nineties with the construction of level crossing systems. Scheidt & Bachmann provides extensive services for existing systems, maintenance support or uninterruptible spare parts supply, and last but not least, all necessary support to reliable operations.
Nowadays, not only the planning, supervision of constructional works and coordination of all crafts, also the handling of all accompanying constructional services (underground engineering, telecommunications, power supply, track construction, road construction etc.) under the main responsibility of Scheidt & Bachmann has to be regarded as part of our scope of services.
Thus, we are able to realise the turn-key construction of level crossing systems and interlocking systems (turn-key projects), if requested. But of course it is also possible for us to lay down the specific works of the project to be performed and to coordinate them according to the customer´s ideas.
The supervision of the constructions and the coordination of all crafts is always performed by qualified Scheidt & Bachmann employees. The performance of the accompanying constructional works is unexceptionally committed to well-known and capable subcontractors.
All BUES 2000 and ZSB 2000 systems are produced and pretested at our premises in Mönchengladbach.
Planning, projecting and production as well as the continuous quality control represent the fundamental steps of the project.
But the functionality of a level crossing system or an interlocking system is not finalised and completed before the field installation of all system components on site has been finished.
In the frame of our system ideas and our high demands of quality, we carry out the field installation with the same high quality standards as familiar by our products and other services.
That`s why our own service personnel take care about all projects tasks on site. Not only the field installation of our systems, also the site management, the site supervision as well as the final inspection tests are carried out by our own trained and qualified employees.
Our service team consists of more than 40 employees. Nine employees of the service team are responsible only for the fields of the site management and final inspection test. The installation services are planned and coordinated via our operation centre in Mönchengladbach. If requested, installation services can also be realized outside of usual working hours and on Sundays and public holidays as well.
All service employees have the required permits and proofs of qualification. By training courses, which taking place regularly, our employees are trained intensive concerning system know-how. Of course, the regulations by the professional associations and for accident prevention are available as well.
There is no question that, apart from the installation of our new systems, our service arranged reconstruction of existing level crossing installations and interlocking systems as well as the performance of maintenance works and repairs. Such tasks are realized by our service team.
We carry out the necessary maintenance at level crossing installations according to the effective provisions, the relevant regulations and keeping the scheduled intervals. Our ability in this field is proven by the high number of signed service and maintenance agreements.
Maintenance is taken over by engineers of our company which specically trained for such kind of tasks. The final test of the respective installation and the documentation of the maintenance carried out by our service staff as well.
Of course, we also carry out necessary repair works at existing installations.
Our service employees are also familiar with the different technologies applied in the past which enables us to manage not only our own types of installations, but in addition almost every type of installation existing in Germany.
Installations in the field of signalling systems have a long life time and must guarantee a high availability as well. Failures means interruptions of the operational procedure could lead to high costs.
It would cause a lot of trouble, in case spare parts are urgently necessary, but no more available, because the manufacturer stopped the production. Cost intensive replacement steps are necesarry.
For this reason, the aspect of the long-term supply of spare parts should always be taken into account.
Scheidt & Bachmann possesses the necessary competence in this field. We guarantee a ten-year supply of spare parts with original or compatible components for all signalling installations (level crossing and interlocking systems) being newly mounted by us.
Furthermore, in most cases we are also able to offer spare parts for the different formerly applied technologies and to reproduce them, if required. The necessary production capacities and a big spare parts store are available for this purpose.
Of course, it is also possible to repair components at our premises in Mönchengladbach, if ordered by the customer. For the repair of components the same test and quality demands will apply as for our production of new parts.
