Best Practice: Leipzig mobil

    To improve the attraction of public transport in Leipzig and the altogether attraction of the city, Leipzig Transport Authority (LVB – Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe) initiated extensive modernization programs and founded the multimodal offer Leipzig mobil – an innovative offer, which was created on the modern mobility behavior of the people living in Leipzig in the years to come. With the Leipzig mobil apps, the customer can access multimodal information, book a shared car via teilAuto or a nextbike and purchase public transport tickets. 28 mobility stations have currently been installed in the city to make the innovative offer visible and raise its awareness by the public.

    „Reflecting the establishment of the innovation platform Leipzig mobil, we recognized that besides the technical challenges especially the organizational and communicative challenges are essential. Very different requests and requirements had to be combined, explored and finally be managed,“ explains Nadine Fischer from LVB.
