Our Training strategy won multiple Awards!

The education of young people has been the highest priority at Scheidt & Bachmann for decades. It is the guarantee that excellent young scientists Scheidt & Bachmann lasting shape.
As our business trainees get to know our technical trainees selected manufacturing and business sectors. Important is the close link between theoretical and practical course content and the areas of training itself.
There are many interfaces between technical and commercial areas in our company. To promote cross functional and technical understanding, our business trainees attend courses in the training workshop and vice versa.

Apprenticeships

We offer our young Staff a high level of training and strive for the best conditions within our company. We want them to build a solid foundation in order to qualify for the next steps in their education. This includes not only the provision of modern teaching materials, but also confidence in young people and their skills.

We believe that one grows with challenges and fails forward. We want all of our employees to bring 100% to the table. For this reason, our students are involved early in projects and execute individual steps independently. Apprentices in all divisions learn to recognize problems and to independently and creatively develop solutions. Scheidt & Bachmann provides all the support they need in the process.

We are confident that these are good conditions to help the young discover their talents and abilities and develop them in a targeted manner.

The many awards received over the years by our apprentices and for our program lead us to believe that we are on the right path with our concept.

For an electronics technician for devices and systems the world of electronic devices revolves around the development, modeling and application of electronic components. 

Electronics technician for devices and systems produce components and equipment, put them into operation and maintain them.

Their applications can be:

  • Information and communication devices
  • Automotive systems
  • System components
  • sensors and actuators and
  • units of measurement and testing technology

The curriculum at Scheidt & Bachmann is based on the training plan and mainly on the requirements of everyday life. Therefore we include a tour of various departments in the training plan in addition to learning technical skills in our training workshop,

After completion of training as an electronics technician for devices and systems, there are many possible futures with Scheidt & Bachmann. Typical areas of activity include printed circuit board manufacturing and testing, building of electrical fixtures, development and final testing and various areas of development. The world of electronic devices at Scheidt & Bachmann is large and incredibly diverse.

Fine motor skills are a core requirement for Industrial Mechanics. Working with small parts and pieces requires a combination of patience and technical skill.

The combination of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components create a high demand for precise work and knowledge in various fields.

Industrial Mechanics of small machinery work in the areas of production and maintenance of von components, devices & systems.

Activities may include the manufacture, assembly, testing, maintenance, inspection and repair of

  • adjusting-, measuring-, weighing- and counting devices
  • equipment, auxiliary equipment manufacturing and assembly
  • mechanical components and electrical equipment and installations
  • electronic office equipment

These varied areas of capabilities are reflected in the many operations with Scheidt & Bachmann. You can find Industrial Mechanics in all mechanic areas and assembly processes.

Dual Degree Program

Theory and practical phases alternate in the co-operational education program. After eight / eleven semesters of college study these students possess extensive practical experience in addition to the bachelor's degree. These students also have the foundation for a successful career start at Scheidt & Bachmann and have been busy building their network within the company. All of these things set a great basis for starting in a successful future together.

Dual degree programs are a modern combination of company training and study. Theory and practice linked closely from the beginning. During your studies you will directly gain essential practical experience that will later be useful for your Bachelor of Engineering studies.

The practice days (three or two days) are spent in the training workshop, at the headquarters of Scheidt & Bachmann in Moenchengladbach. On these days the content of the training as an Electronics technician for devices and systems is directly tailored to your lesson plan. Furthermore, you will learn about different areas within our company. The training plan is linked to your current study plans and materials to ensure the integration of theory and practice from the beginning.

In the bachelor program for electrical engineering you will acquire a broad knowledge of the basics in mathematics, physics and electrical engineering down to microcontroller technology.

The first four semesters are a combination of education, practical experience with Scheidt & Bachmann, intensive exam preparation and in-house training a good foundation in preparation for the ICC's degree exam for electronics technician for devices and systems. After a successful Chamber of Commerce audit and seven semesters, you gain the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare your thesis for your Bachelors of Engineering.

  • Study Requirements: General college or technical college
  • KIA courses are not limited admission
  • Starting in the winter semester
  • Duration: 11 semesters

- During the semester:

  • 3 Days/ wk Practical Training with Scheidt & Bachmann
  • 2 Days/ wk Schooling at the FH (College)

- During Semester Breaks:

  • 5 Days/ wk Practical Training with Scheidt & Bachmann
  • After 4 Semesters: Final Examination in front of the IHK for your electronics technician for devices and systems
  • After 11 Semesters: Writing of your Bachelor Thesis at Scheidt & Bachmann and achievement of your "Bachelor of Engineering" degree.

The dual degree program is a combination of vocational training as an industrial business person and a Bachelor's Program with the degree Bachelor of Arts. The dual degree program combines the practical tasks in our company with the in-depth study subjects at the university.

The practice days are spent at the headquarters of Scheidt & Bachmann in Moenchengladbach. During your practical time you will rotate through departments based on your current curriculum to help gain more knowledge about the different areas. The training plan is linked to your current study plans and curriculum to ensure the integration of theory and practice from the beginning.

While studying for your Bachelors of Business Administration you will acquire expertise, ranging from the business core competencies (human resources management, taxation, investment and financing, etc.) to business computer science and business law to foreign languages, communication techniques and acting skills.

The first four semesters are a combination of practical experience with Scheidt & Bachmann, intensive exam preparation courses at the Chamber of Commerce and in-house training to create a good foundation in preparation for the ICC's degree examination to become an Industrial Business Person. After a successful Chamber of Commerce mid-study Final and another four semesters, you gain the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare your thesis for a Bachelor of Arts. Due to this solid foundation, you are prepared to start a successful career at Scheidt & Bachmann.

You will apply the theoretical knowledge gained in practice from the start and watch it grow with your experience. You get the chance to prove your skills and take responsibility.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes, there is for each apprentice in the first week a mentor available, who will help them if they have questions. Usually this is part of our apprentices of the second year.

The apprentices (not dual students) have additional vocational school instruction. Further we offer all apprentices in-house lessons as well as english courses.
